A word of sympathy for the many ignorant dopes out there online …

I used to get mad or irritated at people who SP*M my comment forms or "Contact" pages with odd comments, obscenities, or whatever.

Today I had three sp*m remarks emailed to me via the "Contact" form on this site. For the life of me, I cannot understand what such people expect to accomplish? The emails were in some foreign language written in, I THINK, the Cyrillic alphabet. So they were probably from, what, Russia, one of the Russian republics, perhaps some other Eastern European country? I have absolutely no idea.

I know they weren't legitimate feedback about the site or questions I needed to answer, because all three had URLs in the Cyrillic alphabet in them -- and my sites, including this one, would show URLs in the English alphabet which they would've copied and pasted into legit email.

Anyway, that has nothing to do with pets, I guess. It has more to do with my sympathy to people out there that either are too ignorant to know better or to mean to care about whether they're inconveniencing others. I know, too, that there are some folks out there who buy into some hairbrained "get rich quick" schemes to flood blog comments and posts with lame links back to their sales sites or p*rn sites. They actually try this out of ignorance and/or desperation to make money because they believe such fools. If that's the case, they have my sympathy more than my anger.

On to other and better things with our day from here on out, I guess.
