This is an interesting website about the Fenster Boarding School in Tucson, Arizona. If you're looking for an alternative high school for a teen family member or friend, Fenster is the place you should consider. Ranked among the very best alternative high schools in Arizona and nationwide, they welcome and encourage students within a friendly, disciplined environment.

According to their website, the Fenster Boarding School was founded in the 1940s by George and Kitty Fenster of New York City. They sought a better quality of life out west and settled near Tucson, Arizona. The school started out "in a small adobe home with just eight students [and] flourishes today with students from throughout the United States and the world. As a boys' and girls' boarding school, Fenster provides a supportive learning environment for the capable, underachieving student to get back on track academically." The emphasis at Fenster is challenging students to focus on being their very best.

Take a good look around their website. This could be the right school for someone you love who needs that extra "boost" and a focused learning environment.

You'll notice several links on our pet site here to "natural" pet products. (Look toward the bottom of the right sidebar.) I'm pretty big on natural products -- for both pets AND humans. Which is why I would like to recommend this "Useful Site" and product, "Vasacor, All-Natural Cholesterol Formula." The site offers a lot of cholesterol facts, as well as their featured, all-natural product, Vasacor.

The site is very straightforward and dedicated to that one product. The supplement Vasacor is made from natural ingredients, each of which is listed and explained on the website. They even have a page discussing the clinical trials showing the product's value as a potential cholesterol lowering supplement. Looks good to me. And Vasacor doesn't carry any of the risky side effects present in many of the prescription cholesterol fighting drugs.

Go to the website and look around. There's a lot of useful information there regarding the product's benefits and regarding cholesterol.

Let's face it -- humans and pets alike, we all get old. Oddly enough, I think, most pets don't "show their age" in obvious ways, like we people do. I mean, if you know what to look at, you'll see some graying hair and shaggier whiskers, perhaps, on your beloved cat or dog that are telling you his years are going by.

With us humans, we see crow's feet wrinkles near the eyes and generally graying/white hair on the head, extra wrinkles on the forehead and usually around the mouth. (Not enough smiling? Too much frowning? Who knows.)

I found some interesting information I want to share with you regarding Chantal Pharmaceuticals and a product called "Ethocyn," a unique, patented moisturizer molecule which, from what I've read, is supposed to actually help your skin replace the elasticity and smoothness it loses as you age.

Of course, being not a vain person and having the beautiful skin of a baby at the age of 60, I really wouldn't know about wrinkle problems.

But for the rest of you (LOL!) -- take a look at this amazing product, the development which has gone into it, and see if it's something you find worthwhile.

Let me invite you to visit our brand new pet posters and pet art work store. No, we don't have art work or posters done by pets -- not yet, anyway! -- but we do have a fun selection of posters and art work featuring animals and pets.

You can find the store by clicking on the link in that paragraph, or by clicking on the navigation link at the top of the website which says, not surprisingly, "Pet Posters and Art Work." The store is supplied by one of our merchant partners, AllPosters.com.

If you click on any of the poster pictures or information on our store page, you'll be taken to the merchant's site to find out more and/or make your purchase. There's no "catch," feel free to visit our store and to click through to the merchant's website. You can buy or not buy as you wish.

Please note, there is a huge selection of posters, art work, and even framed CD collectibles not only related to pets but to just about anything you might find interesting and useful to beautify your home. Take a look around and see for yourself.

One of the fun things about doing this pet blog is knowing that we have readers/visitors from many nations. As my wife was saying last night -- it's still a neat thing to think I am sitting here in Springfield, Missouri, and writing words that people from all over the world read. I was looking at online stats for the blog yesterday and see we've had visitors in the last month from the U.S., Canada, Germany, Denmark, the Philippines, China, and the United Kingdom.

I welcome you all and hope you'll come back frequently.

And for those of you in the UK, here's a "Useful Website" if you want a quote on Auto Insurance. The company is AutoNet Insurance Group, and right now on the website they're advertising up to 70% off of Van Insurance. So if you live in the UK and you're in the market for vehicle insurance of any kind, don't miss out on their quick and easy quotes and their great prices.

My wife and I have been very, very close to bankruptcy in the past, but so far have never had to do that. We did go through a few years of debt counseling/debt reduction help. But we have not had to go through bankruptcy.

As I wrote the last post about pets suffering the consequences of foreclosures, I thought about ways people might be able to resolve various financial crises related to real estate foreclosures and did some looking around. I found this "Useful Website," specifically for those of you who might need a New York bankruptcy attorney -- the site is "Feinlawyer.com," the website of Attorney Richard S. Feinsilver, and it has a wealth of material related to real estate law, foreclosures, and everything you might want to know about bankruptcy. Attorney Feinsilver's website has pages and links discussing the various types of bankruptcy and how to tell whether bankruptcy would be right for you.

Whether or not you're located in New York, if you want a lot of information clarifying U.S. bankruptcy law and dispelling a lot of the commonly held "myths" about bankruptcy, this is a good website to check. You and your pets may appreciate the information there. Take a look around and see.

I've spoken before about the need for good insurance, and I seem to remember covering the growing market of pet insurance in a post not long ago.

Here's a "Useful Website" for this morning if you're currently in the market for health insurance. They specialize in Florida and Illinois family health insurance policies, but they have valuable insurance information on the website no matter where you live.

The site says the company, People's Health Insurance, LLC, is not just an online quote site: "We are an actual insurance agency staffed by licensed insurance agents, who are available to assist you via our toll free number or email. We unravel the confusion and difficulties of buying health insurance by taking the time to educate you on the various types of plans that are available and how each one works."

I was especially by the easy navigation of the site and the detailed material they have to explain the variety of insurance policies available, with information to help you find just the right type of policy for you. Take a look at their website. You'll find some good insurance information there.

I've posted several times the last few days about financial matters, including how our finances and/or estate planning issues impact not just us but our pets also.

Here's a "Useful Website" if you're looking for high yield investments that could pay you AND your pets very well. The site is for Diamond Bay Investments, Inc., and offers a wealth of information (no pun intended) regarding high yield investing strategies based on trust deed investing. According to the website, some of Diamond Bay Investments' investors utilize their services and invest in trust deeds for savings, while others use their resources as an option for earing retirement income. The website says the nature of their investments in trust deeds has the advantage of being relatively low risk for the returns their investors are getting.

Take a look around the website. It has a lot of valuable information if you've ever considered trust deed investing, or if you'd simply like to learn more about it.
