In recent years, all of our pet cats have come to us in their adult years, with the litter box training and fundamental "how-to-live-in-our-house" training already done. But we've had relatives and friends with cats who have never been adequately trained or "civilized" -- or who have suddenly exhibited anxious or even unacceptable behavior.
