Ever thought about life insurance for your dog or cat?

I mention "dog" and "cat" only in the title of this post, because I assume any sort of insurance for unusual or less common pets would not be available. Correct me, please, if I'm wrong.
You know, I honestly have never given any serious thought to getting life insurance for our old cat, Tigra -- nor has it ever crossed my mind to get life insurance for any previous dog or cat that we've had.
Of course, I've never owned a show animal, an animal I devoted money, time, grooming, training, and a lot of resources into trying to win awards. Now THAT sort of pet would be worth insuring, I suppose.
What about you? Do you have life insurance for your pet? We've mentioned pet health insurance in previous posts, and I can see where that would be useful to any pet lover, simply to avoid excessive pet care costs if your dog or cat has need of sudden surgery, or costs related to an accident, etc.
But do you think it practical or worthwhile to have life insurance for your pet? Why or why not? Tell us, please.
