No matter how big our hearts, we can’t care for every needy pet, can we?

What a wonderful story here, about a teenage farm boy in England who, with help from his family and pledged financial support, is caring for more than 90 abandoned pets. The British Press has kiddingly dubbed him "Dr. Doolittle."

It seems from the story that the kid has a full life, as well as the FULL life he spends caring for the animals people have given him or he has rescued himself. The menagerie includes, as of the time of the report, six dogs, six cats, 19 hens, 30 rabbits, and 22 guinea pigs.

Anybody want to help out a kid with a heart that big? I don't know how someone would go about funding his efforts, nor how to contact him via e-mail, Internet, etc. There's a British phone number at the end of that story, which the story says will reach the boy's mother. I certainly know nothing more about the whole thing that what's in that story -- and I would caution anyone reading this AGAINST making financial donations and/or commitments without doing some personal contact and research. I would not in any way say this is a "scam," but I certainly must advise you to be very cautious and very informed -- because the very best scams are always those which COULDN'T be scams.

Meanwhile, what can you do and what can I do today to make some small step toward helping all those poor mistreated animals and abandoned pets filling our lands??
